1. AD user account properties -profile tab - logon - script to activate a batch file(do this for all users). The batch file calls a a kix script in the netlogon folder of the DC.
2. Kix start script to include case statement if member of group the printer server is and printer is etc.
3. Setup...
On both the PC and the Server there is a usrlogon.cmd file. This activates each time a user logs onto their PC or alternatively on the server.
Find the file in C:\winnt\system32\ folder and edit it to use the net use ltp1 \\server\printsharename.
That way each time a user logs on the printer...
I have come across the same problem. Unfortunately I could not find a way around it. When you install a new program the All User profile is and has to be updated with the Program file shorcuts.
Unless someone else has a better suggestion - trimming it is each time is the only answer...
