    Dynamic Back and Previous Links

I have help pages that popup in windows. The popups have been stripped of all their properties (just about). So a menu has been created with some text links. I have static back and forward and was asked if it was possible to have them only appear when there was a page to go back to or a page to...

    Dynamic Back and Previous Links

Does anyone know if and/or how I can create text links Back Previous that write themselves in a menu based on the page history. For example, I open help page 1, click on a link to view another topic - help page 2. When help page 2 loads, since there is a history, it will write the "Back"...

How do I get a layer to display over a table

Hi IDMF, Thanks much. Unfortunately, I can't pass over the code and I know it's much easier to help if you can see the whole picture. I am experimenting with the z-index on all elements and appear to be getting more and move of the content that was on top into the background. Thanks much for...

How do I get a layer to display over a table

Affraid not. Here's the code I am using. The help div holds the table. In i.e. the toc div pushes the table down. In firefox the table within the help div displays on top of the toc div. /* Sets position of toc divs */ #related, #toc { float: right; z-index: 6; width: 50%; background-color...

How do I get a layer to display over a table

Hi IDMF, The TOC is set with a z-index of 1 I gave the div that the table sits within a z-index of 2, therefore, i expected the TOC to sit on top but it doesn't. When it meets up with the table inside the second div it goes behind the table.

How do I get a layer to display over a table

I have a table of contents in a div. The TOC displays when a link is clicked. It displays on top of everything else which is held in a second div. Everything was working great til I got to a page where part of the content was layed out in a table. On this page the table of contents displays on...

Is it an illegal looping link and will Google Penalize

Thanks Chris. I'll look else where for the answer. Bye, the bye, the url is not top secret. I work for an organization where brand is everything, and mostly built on preception, preception, perception. Bob

Is it an illegal looping link and will Google Penalize

Hi Chirs, Ya, it's convoluted alright. If you think it's convoluted, imagine what the SEs think. This particular setup is a result of outsourcing. Our company relies on a second company for database products. The supplier manages a number of our databases at jane.ca. The default page for...

Is it an illegal looping link and will Google Penalize

Looking for thoughts on the following scenario. Scenario bob.ca has a number of databases hosted on jane.ca. There are hundereds of links from pages on bob.ca to pages on jane.ca. The urls of the links allow pages to be dynamically generated. That is, when a link at bob.ca is clicked page...

    Proxy Serves, Analog and Traffic

Hi there, Not really sure what I talking about so be kind! We have a proxy server and a server. I understand the proxy server was setup to take the pressure off the main server. We got into a discussion trying to determine the meaning of some traffic logs. We use analog. I went into the...

    onblur=self.close question

Hi BillyRayPreachersSon, I used .doc and .ppt as examples, but I have run the above script just to create the html popup. It creates the html popup fine, but the onblur="self.focus();" (written to the body tag) does not work while the onclick="self.close();" works fine. I was wondering why this...
