error with mmsystem.dll on boot up
Thanks Traycee Have removed "sound and vidio controllers" and modem from device manager and reinstalled from scratch but still get same error on boot up?- stevieb3

error with mmsystem.dll on boot up
recently reloaded windows 98 due to missing file psapi.dll this caused windows to hang mid boot up. now windows boots but displays the following error "Error In c:\windows\system\mmsystem.dll" Missing Entry Anyone have any ideas? cheers Stevieb3- stevieb3

I am trying to solve a windows 98 explorer problem. If the system is left undisturbed after approx 10 minutes a pop up alarm warns that "explorer has found a problem writing to specific files, details of which somtimes vary, If i click OK all TSR programmes are shut down.
