How can I create a macro that has a popup message that warns the user that the inspection date, location and inspection type he has chosen is already taken and a new inspection date can only be entered after two weeks from the date of that particular location and inspection type. Is this...
Thanks for the great information. I will work with it this week and see how it goes. I am in the learning mode and once I created a few Access databases at work now I am being stormed and each one has new challenges. Enjoyed the responses as well. Nice logo.
I have been working on an Access database, now they want to know if there is a way to Flag them when employees have reached 30 days since completion of their training. I have the fields, completion date, employees and training type. Any ideas anyone? Would a query work?
l3reacher,
Thanks I will give it a try. This is a Lookup Table will that make a difference. I will need to create a form that has a combobox, when I select an item from the combobox it acts like a filter is that correct? Does the statement go in the sort field?
How can I setup a query that when a item from a combobox is selected it will automatically throw a unitprice that is corresponding to that item in the unitprice field? Would it be a SELECT statement of some sort and where would it go? I have been reading a lot of books but they are scarce when...
I want to thank you all for the great information. This will come in handy for my forms as well. I have a problem with a startup form that contains hyperlinks only. It will not automatically take focus after you close the hyperlink on the form. This will give me a few more things to try. Thanks...
You will probably have to have a primary key in each table and then create a relationship to the tables and join it at the primary keys. After you do that, create your form and see what happens.
What I have done that has helped. Create a macro that opens your form, type maximize on the second line. In your startup choose the macro to open the form. This is how I got it to maximize properly.

To All,
Thanks for the notes of advice and the Life Stories are great!!!! I am really new to the field going on four years, but I have already experienced practically all of your complaints. I have only one thing to say, no matter what area of work you are in you will always experience similar...
Y2k1981,
I faired about the same on the CCNA. And our test scores were almost exactly alike. I have been hesitant to taking it over again. I plan on taking it again in the future. So, I do appreciate the refresher course. I am just about to graduate and then I was going to concentrate on the...
Aleksjay,
I tried it but it didn't work. If you think of something else let me know. Or if you have time to create a form and only insert a hyperlink and give it a whirl you will see that the form's icon is on the taskbar with the other open window applications and you have to click on the...

In Access when I create a report it will skip records and will print blank pages. It will look like the report is not there but if you tab through the records you will find the rest of the report. How can I keep this from doing this? Any answers?
