i had this problem when i installed software services update from Microsoft, (the automatic windows updating service) this was on a backoffice/sbs 2000 box though, once i moved it to a stand alone machine and removed it from the pdc it went away
How in exchange 2000 do you actually turn off the virtual smtp server service and only allow email to be sent through the relay and still be allowed to recieve interoffice email. any ideas? i am facing the same issue
From what their postmaster tells me, any dynamic ip address with a mail server, aol blocks all mail. And i cannot send any mail to them whatsoever from 3 different clients i maintain. SOmetimes i get a returned mail, sometimes i dont, but they never go through.
