connecting to the network but not getting internet connection
Can you tell me if you connect pc directly to cable modem are you getting internet access? If so check when pc is connected to router you can ping modem. [2thumbsup]- Micbouncer2

Hi also new to his site must say looks pretty good so far. Regards your issue a simple communications device refers to a modem most likely on-board you could try running update driver wizard and when asked if you would like windows to connect to internet select yes you may be lucky...- Micbouncer2
