Hi-
I recently installed new 3Com Ethernet switches on my network. I have a single NT4 file server. That server runs Mac services. Since installing the switches, all the Mac desktops that mount those shares (on the NT4 box)are experiencing a "jumpy" effect when viewing the contents...
I am trying to allow my users to dial up and get speeds over 40Kbps....
Right now I am running NT4 RAS SP6a with USRobotics X2 V.Everything modems on it.
The fastest connection speed I get is 26400 bps... That is unacceptable....
Is there any digital hardware I could purchase or special...
I am getting an error when trying to start a playlist in Darwin....
"Network Initialization Failed. IP not enabled to run BcastPlaylist"
Any ideas? Any Darwin gurus out there?
Thanks in advance,
Matt
I want to config an ethernet subinterface (e0.1) that is on the SAME subnet as the actual ethernet interface (e0)
What do I need to specify in the router that would allow me to bind an IP address to a subinterface so I can specify routes using this new virtual interface?
Right now it is...
Lets say I make the following config on the e0 interface in my 2524 router:
Router(config-if)# ip access-group 101 in
Does my diagram correctly illustrate "IN" traffic that is going to be filtered by Access-List 101? Meaning IN from the directly connected network as well as IN from...
Is it possible to specify a group of IP's in an ACCESS-LIST declare? For example could I say:
Router(Config)# ACCESS-LIST 10 DENY a.b.c.d-e
or something along those lines where I would actually be denying d through e in the fourth octet.
Any help would be most appreciative!

Download Cisco ConfigMaker. You can graphically draw up your network and have it upload the config to the router automatically.
Its a great tool to get your network started. You should be able to download at www.cisco.com

What would a good MATCH line for "ALL TRAFFIC INCOMING" be? And can I make the SET NEXT-HOP be an interface on the same LAN segment as the Ethernet interface of the router?
Currently (as a test) I am creating an ACL for "DENY TCP ANY ANY" as a match (because I was informed...
Right now my Cisco 2524 has a Static Route that specifies the next hop for outbound traffic. I want to redirect INBOUND traffic to a specific interface that is on the same subnet as the router itself... Is this possible??? Does the Cisco router differentiate between inbound and outbound?
