Open new or existing record
could you not base the (frmLabNotes) on a query, and use the sample entered into the (frmCane2) field as the criteria for the query. Then use an Iif statement in the query to say that if no record matches, open the form (frmLabNotes) where the identifying field has a Null value. I'm certainly...- Dongled

Ermmm, somehow, I think when setting the "startup" options, I have turned off all the standard toolbars, and unfortunately don't have a back up (I know, not very bright - Believe me I'm slapping myself!) Is there any way I can reactivate them, so that I can finish the work I was doing...- Dongled

I am actually using a frm.Filter method from visual Basic - using BuildCriteria to create, well the criteria! I have worked a way around the problem by hand-coding the criteria as a long list with AND inbetween each one, for the third button and it will concatenate the two combo options and...- Dongled
