I don't know, if you mean that but you can change passwords with the command 'passwd'
you login as root and type in:
passwd [username]
and then you are asked for the new passwords
I can get and send mails but only if i send them via telnet or if i'm in front of the server.
i can't use outlook explress for example.
the server always tells me:
550 5.7.1 <the address>... Relaying denied. IP name lookup failed [192.168.0.10]
at the moment, I'm using a web-mail-client...
i've tried it, but nothing happend.
I habe an empty file in /usr/local/sbin/, but that's it.
maybe I've forgotten to install something...?
and if I type 'make':
# make
make: not found
and 'cc'
# cc
/usr/ucb/cc: language optional software package not installed
Now I've downloaded and installed make-3.79.1-sol8-sparc-local.gz but when I want to compile xmms and run the configure script it says:
loading cache ./config.cache
checking host system type... sparc-sun-solaris2.8
checking for a BSD compatible install... /space/xmms-1.2.7/install-sh -c...
I need help.
I want to install a compiler and so I've downloaded the file
gcc-3.1-sol8-sparc-local.gz from sunfreeware.com
I've installed it.
(pgkadd -d gcc-3.1-sol8-sparc-local)
and now? I can't find the 'make' file`..
or what did i do wrong? or what do I have to do now?
(I'm sorry for my...
this is the startupscript: (it runs and there are no messages on the screen, but it don't returns to the prompt :-( )
#!/sbin/sh
#
# shoutcast-server
#
#
#ident "@(#)shoutcst"
case "$1" in
'start')
cd /download/shoutcast-1-8-3-solaris-sparc/
./sc_serv > test.txt 2>&1...
yes, the file runs but it doesn't retun to the prompt!
i've tried it to send the output to a file, but the file is updated every second, too.
an output example:
*******************************************************************************
** SHOUTcast Distributed Network Audio Server
**...
i've already tried something like this... the problem is that the server has a output on the screen that is updated every second and so the system stops there.
I had to log in in the single-user-mode to remove the file...
but I will try it again... :-)
