    Scanner won't read TBG7424718F897 but will read F997 Why?

    For some reason our bar code scanner will not read TBG7424718F897, however it will read TBG7424718F997. It seems the number eight does something to the bar code itself? Could this be font related? Any clues where I would start to trouble shoot this one? I use a zebra printer to make my lables.
