Hello,

I have a situation where i need to have two different email accounts on one pc, Eg work email and Yahoo.

I have outlook Installed on my PC and it is working with one of the two accounts,

I was wondering is there any way of having two different email accounts pointing to the one Outlook, or does anyone know of a a betetr thing/way to do this?

Thank you

Either set up 2 users on the PC each one having its own E-mnail account in outlook.
Otherwies you can just keep adding new e-mail accounts to Outlook using
Tools - E-mail Accounts - Add E-Mail account

Thank you!

The thing is, The person in question wants his work email split up from his home email in the inbox, he also does not like the idea of having to Log into other accounts,

Does it do this?

No pleasing some people is there!

I suggested using outloo and outlook express but he does not wan to go near Express ( Dont blame him).

Set up the 2 accounts and use a rule to split the messages between folders, once the accounts are set up the user shouldn't have to enter his logon details again.

Is it possible to set up two profiles?

Which outlook do you have?

With profiles you can choose when you open outlook which profile you would like to use, thus keeping both accounts completely seperate.

A computer always does what you tell it to, but rarely does what you want it to.....

Outlook 2000,

How would i set it up to work in a way like that?

For outlook

goto start > settings > control panel and select mail

click show profiles you can add profiles there.. and then check prompt for profile to be used.. and you're good :)

or

If you're using outlook express you can create multiple identies as well

by going to file > identies > add new identity .. once you've set that up you can goto file > switch identity to change between them
