    I'll answer my own question: According to IBM support dbx32 is not in the current 7.1.0.15 release (as suspected). It may be released as part of a later update next year

    I'm not sure you want to do anything here. As you stated you can remove the devices but cfgmgr will detect them each time the server is booted. Why do you want to delete these devices? It should be fine to leave them "unconfigured". If they do get configured for any reason, rmdev / cfgmgr...
