Have you installed the Admin tools yet? That's where you do all of the editing\creating

You need to get Norton Ghost or something similar, it will make this process alot easier & quicker. That is std. practice at most companies.

Not sure of a positive answer, but I will tell you this. I installed the admin console on my home system to try to use it from there ( I use VPN to access from home) & it told me the same thing about being part of the domain. I was able to join it thru the VPN connection & it worked after that...

There is an article on pcworld.com that tells of a hole in symantec corp version (only)that can be hacked & "worm driven" Might look into it

Could also be the usb device itself. I have deployed usb wireless network adapters where I work, they work fine, but when removed, they lose their settings, they will not "remember" them, I checked with linksys & they confirmed this. In other words, once removed it won't "remember" it's drive...
