I am finding that unless I put a user of a custom snap-in in the Administrators group, the snap-in won't connect to the site database. What groups/permissions do I need to modify?

I am having the same problem. I will check logs on Monday. I have many clients that will not install. Manual installation also does not work. Also need to install client on a bunch of NT 4 Workstations. This too fails!
Is there anything that can be done to speed up login after deploying SMS 2003? I have seen it take three minutes from startup to when the login screen appears.
Uninstalled the client using ccmclean.exe. When I try to reinstall, I get the message "Unable to locate a Systems Management Server". It seems as though the clients are not seeing the server, and vice versa.
