Joe, I think that you're in the wrong forum. It seems that you're having a problem with Excel. I don't know if there's a tek-tips forum for Excel but I've used http://www.mrexcel.com/ successfully in the past.- StevenHB13

In a number of datawindows in my application, users have access to a free-form text box where they can enter any filter string they like.
