cluster resource needs to be replaced

Ya it is a NetApp; however apparently they are changing the filer to a bigger filer, so they can't just expand the LUN, they have to disconnect the LUN using SnapDrive, then connect a new LUN (which is on the new filer).

Connection dropping for a split second to ESX Host when in VI Client

Just a thought. Do you have your service console on a separate adapter? if you have more than one nic in the esx host, configure your service console on one adapter and the vm network on the other. Also the server seems to have enough horse power with those cpu's but it's memory seems a...

cluster resource needs to be replaced

Hi There. We have an exchange 2007 CCR Cluster (windows MNS cluster). one of the exchange databases on an LUN that is too small. What we need to do is remove this disk from the server, the storage team will snap the disk, increase the lun size, and then we can add the disk back to the server...

    Netbios over TCPIP - Scripted

OK sorry I see now that you specified in the script split(strText, ",") I have created the servers.txt file as follows: 192.168.1.2,192.268.1.3,192.168.1.4 The script runs, looks like it goes ok, but for whatever reason doesn't appear to make the netbios option enabled. I ran it against my...

    shutdonw multicomputer remotly

Have you tried using PSEXEC? (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/PsExec.mspx) This will allow you to run the shutdown command (or any other command that you would normally run locally) remotely to a server or even a list of servers. with PSEXEC installed on...

    Netbios over TCPIP - Scripted

WOW! Thanks very much it looks great! I have one question though (sorry). You mention a CSV file, but in the script objFile = objFSO.OpenTextFile. Do I really create a CSV for this or will a plain text file of IP addresses do, like this: 192.168.1.2 192.168.1.3 192.168.1.4 192.168.1.5...

    Netbios over TCPIP - Scripted

Awesome thanks very much I appreciate it. I've been trying to get it to work but it just loops through the servers.txt list, never stops. :( Wish I knew more about scripting. Thanks again!! -Steve

    Netbios over TCPIP - Scripted

Ya ok that will work too; however that only works for one computer, but I need to enable this on about 140 servers. I would have a servers.txt file with a list of servers. I assume that would still work for the WHERE clause that you stated above right? Set colNetAdapters =...

    Netbios over TCPIP - Scripted

This does help, thanks.. I never thought of this until you posted... If I use psexec and netsh to add the WINS Primary and secondary IP's to the Public Team adapter, I can then use this script you provided above to set the netbios option by using the where WINSPrimaryServer = primaryIP...

    Netbios over TCPIP - Scripted

I need to add 2 WINS server IP's and enable netbios over tcpip on 140 servers. I have a way to do the 2 WINS IP's via psexec and NetSH but I have no idea how to enable netbios via script. Also another thing is that I do not want netbios enabled on all adapters, only the "Public Team" adapter...

Hello. I have a txt file of servers (servers.txt) to query and I have a txt file of the corporate patch requirements (32bitpatches.txt and 64bitpatches.txt) that contain the kb#'s for each patch. Normally I would run a script (checkpatch.vbs) to produce a list of installed patches and then...

    BES vs Goodlink eval

You have indeed been spoiled using GOOD first. BES has it's issues, one major issue being it's sync rules of 20/20 (20 changes, or 20 minutes, whichever comes first). GOOD has by far a better sync structure, it may be harder on device wireless bandwidth usages but if that's not a concern it...

How to create a general email address to send to all ?

Simply create an "all users" Universal Distribution Group in AD and give it an address of something like "allusers@domain.com". Add everyone that has a mailbox to that group membership and you're done. Make sure any new users created have membership to the "all users" group as well. Now send...

    Windows cluster problem

Although I've never done this, it sounds like your solution is going to be simple. It sounds like you are getting new servers, and the current cluster is going to be removed (including both nodes). If I am correct above, after you have AD replicated and your FSMO roles moved to the new...
