In theory you could just set it to be the root. Ideally if it's most powerful and "center" of your network. Priority 0. The config for that? I dunno - I've never used that brand of switch.
Also, I don't know what to make of this because I have never worked with phones before.
"There is still 5 ports available to expand the phone system, the connection on the bix are highlighted."
And a photo was attached...
Hi,
Attached is the lenlist.xls
We've looked at the LEN list before and had some dialogue about whether there were steps prior to this (which is why we seem to be an an impasse) or if we could proceed. I say proceed because we have some steps here from years ago from the previous IT guys...
Hi,
yes, I think your proposal is better than what your friend has going on currently. Gigabit switches should do, and I'm unsure about the tz300 or the ubiquiti but specs should give you more info about how many users they can handle, throughput, etc. Also, of course consider costs of...
Hi,
NEAX IPS 2000 PBX and MATWorx32 Station Assignment: while the few of us can manage this as is, we are very much beginners when it comes to improving functionality. We are running out of currently usable extensions for phones as company continues to grow. For example, station's 3340-3350 are...
What did you end up doing? I've never used VRFs because I find they complicate things and I've also seen other people suggest that it's best to avoid using them if you can.
So, I finally got around to doing this but it was a bit of a pain. I couldn't restore to a server with a different name, it wouldn't let me. This is what I did.
1 - Made a full backup of the target server (I was using a non essential server for this, it runs the hold music for our phone system)...
Yeah, I've been trying to do the same thing. I wanted to test our backups for a revised disaster recovery plan and it doesn't look like there is a way as near as I can tell. If I find out anything else, I'll post it here.
After looking through the restore options, it looks like it won't let you restore to a different server if Arcserve sees that the original source is still active.
I think I understand what he is asking, I was wondering the same thing myself. I'll see if I can clarify.
I have a server called Server1 that I am backing up. I have the system state and a few directories that get backup up nightly. Now, Server1 bursts into flames one night. I replace the...
I currently have 100% windows shop and run Arcserve 11.5 SP2. The management would like to look into ESX server, so I would like to know if there is a linux agent for Arcserve - Windows??
I have labels that print from Clientele. However for one user the labels print on regular paper and the wrong printer. for another user it prints on label printer.
How does Clientele know which printer to send the job to??
Thanks.
Since installing 931836 and 931667 for the daylight savings time updates from MS, I noticed that all emails are showing a received time of 1 hour ahead. However when changing the time zone to an un-patched zone, the times in outlook are corrected. Has anyone else seen this, it is hard to believe...
I have seen the SetClock function in MatWorx, however the PC and that function reports the time being 1:23, the Dterm phones report the time being 1:19. Is there a way to keep these to times more in sync, other than updating the PBX time with SetClock function.
Thanks
