    I went into Regedit and changed the Registered Owner. Then I used Find to find all of the places where the information was and changed it to the correct information. It worked like a charm! However, now I get a Windows logon that I did not get before. How do I disable that?

    I don't have any kind of backup or software from the computers I reformatted so anything that was there is lost. I did go to the compaq site and found a generic driver that someone said should work for any player. It didn't work for this one. No luck on the Compaq site for any other driver...

    When setting up Win98SE, I spelled the registered owner name wrong. In regedit I went into hkey_local_machine/software/microsoft/windows/currentVersion then I right-clicked RegisteredOwner and changed the spelling. After I restarted Windows, the name was still spelled wrong on the Log Off...
