while I'm not seeing any interface errors or underruns/overruns I did find these entries. This should mean that the datapath processes are being held up. If this is true it should also show high CPU usage and queue problems, which I'm not seeing. I'm going out on a limb now but there is either...
Ive got a strange problem with one of my Cisco asa units. Its a 5508-x (IOS 9.4) on a 100Mbit ethernet connection. It has 3 site to site VPN tunnels to other buildings carrying VOIP traffic. Everything seems to work fine but when our users hit one of our POS servers which is colocated the...
telcodog your information was very useful. I got my DSM32's in the expansion cabinet working. Don't tell nortel but a 20ft shielded cat6e seems to do the trick for a patch cable(shot in the dark but worked). My 3 DTM's are now in the main chassis. BUS 6,7 work perfectly. BUS 5 still shows...
I do have an expansion module. I am not sure if the license is installed anymore. I can guarantee the patch cable is not the one that shipped with it. Is there a way I can make the correct one? I believe the techs use the expansion patch cable on the BCM 450 when they installed it. I'll...
double checked the BUS settings. DSM 32's are working and are at buses 2,3,4. DTM's are at 5,6,7. In metrics it says D channel is out of service. the state of the module is N/A. All other settings seem correct. I had tried to reboot with no results.
I have a BCM 400 running version 4.0.2.03a. Its a 6/2 split running 3 PRI DTM's with 3 DSM 32's. For the last year the system has been idle with no PRI's hooked up. We had a "tech" out a few months ago to run patches and get it ready. He left it with some strange problems. We have 3 new PRI...
I have a BCM 450 with the expansion module. We run both IP and TDM sets on it. I recently had to move some extension to another part of our building. Of the 4 extension that were moved one will not function. However according to my cable testers the line is up correctly, no crossed wires...
I'm seeing a problem with our BCM450 with 3 PRI DTMs. It keeps posting an error about digital trunking clock in free run. I never get any loss of frame or dropped calls. The DTMs are clocked Primary External, Secondary External, and the third is Internal. Generally this would be a problem...
Thanks for the info. Looks like the NAM does need a hard drive with the same size. This one being 4,223MB although the partition was only half that. I was able to repair it and get it going again. Looks like an upgrade is in the future. Not many 4gb PATA drives around anymore to choose from.
The new drive is bigger. 80GB. Not that easy to find parallel drives around anymore. I did a block copy so the new drive looks like a the other with about 76gb of unused space.
The NAM seems to hang at code 4C and then restart. There is not VGA port on the unit. Am I able to establish a...
I have a MICS running system 4.0 and the NAM is intermittently failing. Tracked it down to a bad hard drive. I was able to get a disk image of the hard drive(block level) restore it to a new drive and repair a couple of fat16 errors. Once the new drive was installed the NAM gets caught in a...
Is it possible to link a BCM 450 with a BCM 400. Both system would be mostly separate. The only thing the system must be able to do is talk with each other extension wise. So if someone on the BCM 400 dials an extension that is on the 450 it will actually connect. Everything else call center...
I'm having trouble with the BCM 4.0 public key ssh. I generated a new key added it to my id_rsa.pub file but it doesn't work. All it says is permission denied (publickey,keyboard-interactive). I noticed the RSA fingerprint I receive from the BCM is different from the one that is in Element...
I forgot to add in that this BCM 400 has been giving problems for quite some time. It was having EMS event critical errors and restarting on a daily basis. This was only fixed by removing the hard drive and repairing directory problems. After the repairs the system has been perfectly stable...
