No. I don't want auto arrange switched on. I want to be able to arrange the icons from the F5 key or Refresh the screen from the view menu. Auto arrange will line them up at the top of the screen which isn't what is required.

Thankyou bcastner. Unfortunately, I tried this but it did not work. However, on Windows XP the Update screen is set to Hex and as such only allowed single character of 0 and 1. Thus, I changed the 1 to 0 and re-booted.
No change to icons when refreshing or executing the F5 key.

I have a similar problem. I have Windows XP Professional.
F5/Refresh and View/Refresh does not work and icons are left all over the place.
It is extremely nausious to have to go to the View menu and arrange icons by name, date, etc.
Anybody have any ideas?

I tried that but it generated the date/time in the next new record which isn't quite what I'm after.
I want the date/time to be generated only after the 'Clearedby' combo has been populated.
Any further suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks PHV, getting closer but not quite there yet.
I have three fields:
[ClearedBy] A combo with a list of names
[ClearedDate] Set to date/time with input mask
[ClearedTime] Set to date/time with input mask
When the user exits from [ClearedBy] I would like the [ClearedDate] and [ClearedTime]...
I have a small database which records faults.
When the fault is closed the technician selects their name from a combo box displayed on a form.
On completion of this action how can I then generate an automatic time and date in the next two subsequent fields.
Any help appreciated.
