IDE 1 OR 2 ??
generally the hard drive is connected to the primary IDE or IDE 1 connector and cd roms,dvd rom and cdrw's connect to the secondary IDE or #2. While you may slave a cd-rom to a hard drive,the data transfer will be limited to the speed of the slowest drive or the cd-rom.So it is best to run them...- nec
