Can't install MDAC 2.8 SP1 in WIn 2K server
The problem is a registry permissions problem. Try this, it worked for me. 1. REGEDT32 (not regedit) 2. Select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\ExceptionComponents 3. Click on Security > Permissions 4. Give Admin (or whoever) Full Control- mlrspam
