Release 5 doesn't have a menu. You can either load CI or not. If you do, you'll go to the CI> prompt. If not, you'll go to the :MUP: prompt, and anything like "TAPERESTORE" tells you Access Denied.

Meridian Mail - Rls 5. We have backup tapes that were made, but I cannot find any options in MerMail that allow me to restore the full backup. Can anyone help me?

John - Thanks for your reply. It's an option 61, release 17, with MerMail release 5. There was a problem with the hard disk filling up, so for some reason the hard drive was formatted against my recommendations. Upon trying to reload the tapes, they broke. Finally obtained new tapes and loaded...

Upon bringing MerMail up, 2 channels of 4 are not in service. When you try to enter Hardware Administration through any method, (to make the channels active) the system crashes with "System - 0012 parity error" Any clues?
