firewall goes to lockdown and ethernet cable is disabled
i have a E-machines c-1904 with windows xp home and current version of mcafee anti-virus and firewall plus, i am wondering why the firewall goes to full "lockdown" and the ethernet card is "disabled" and this occurs after a detected "hacker attack" can anyone tell me what is going on and it also...- ironbear

hi wolluf, yes the machine works fine after i do a reinstall and re download all the nessecary drivers and the device manager shows no conflicts, as to what the kids do i have no idea because i am usually at work when they are home so i have no idea what they are doing on there. they say all...- ironbear

Hi i am new to this and i hope someone can help, i have a custom built windows 98SE with a M7Vig Pro mb and a celeron processor, i have reformatted the machine twice and after the kids get on it it crashes, i don't know what they are doing but i am getting the messages "protection error press...- ironbear
