Have you tried this? e.g: set Ctime=DATE_[%date::=-%_TIME_[%time::=-%] MKDIR %Ctime% when declaring a variable in batch the : towards the end of the var allows a declared char to be replaced with another like this: set lol="lols" set lol=%lol:s=z% echo %lol% lolz hope it helps :)- GameShark428
