WOW, thanks for all the good tips. I am planning on working on the project this week. I did not even think of the windows scheduler method. I think I will try that one first, and see how it works. I am also glad to know about the OnTime syntax, we can use it as we develop more of this ODBC...- Eyancey

I have inherited several Excel Queries. They query a ODBC database and do a background query when Excel is opened.
