Thanks for all the in but, I cannot GET PAST the splash screen. It displays it then looks for autocheck then reboots. I cannot get to any windows at all, Also, copyin autocheck to the C:WINDOWS\System32 dir doesnt work either. ANy Ideas before I blow it all away? I would like to copy some data...- efosmi

Help please, how can I fix this: Windows XP Pro boot screen starts - then goes to find autocheck and says "skipping" then reboots (loops). I have been in the recovery console and find no help there. If this is unrepairable, how can I enable set to AllowAllPaths to get at the directorys to copy...- efosmi
