Ghostscript PDF printer not working in 2008

We have used Ghostscript PDF printer for years on Server 2003 but when we recently migrated to 2008 I cannot get it to work. No matter what I do I get an error. I have a feeling it has something to do with security or permissions. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

    Windows 7 Deletes my Programs

To get them started: * are you opening the files from the project manager? No, just from the VFP menu * from Windows Explorer? I've tried this but there is no difference * from the VFP menu? Yes * Just before save, what is VFP's working directory? c:\enrollment For future reference, that's...

    Windows 7 Deletes my Programs

I've tried running as an administrator and it still does not work. Very interesting that you don't get .bak files. I have always gotten them... is this a setting in VFP? I definately think this is a clue. Anther clue is that I end up with .TMP files (they contain the program when I open...

    Windows 7 Deletes my Programs

I made a directory directly off my c:\ drive called "enrollment". So the files are saved in C:\enrollment. I didn't think the actual name of directory mattered. Sorry.

    Windows 7 Deletes my Programs

I'm using McAffee virus scanner and PC Tools Spyware Doctor for malware protection. I also have PC Tools Registry Mechanic to scan for registry errors.

    Windows 7 Deletes my Programs

I've tried everything. I've turned UAC off. I've created a separate directory for temporary files and then directed VFP to use that directory. I've used DOS to make sure none of the directories are Read-Only (its hard to tell with Explorer). The name of the directory I'm saving to does not...

    Windows 7 Deletes my Programs

Hmmmm... I may try that. I forgot about the config.fpw file. Maybe the clue is in there. God knows I've tried everything else, and as you can imagine, this is driving me NUTS. Can't get anything done.

    Windows 7 Deletes my Programs

Well, I'll try to stop all the AV programs and try it, but it doesn't make sense. Nothing gets deleted 'on its own'. Its only when I try to compile or save VFP programs. Something must have changed at some point. Could this be a security or permissions issue?

    Windows 7 Deletes my Programs

I am a VFP9 user and recently upgrades to Windows 7. Everything worked fine for about 3-4 months (I was worried that it wouldn't work well under 64bit but it seemed to do fine). All of a sudden, most every time I either try to compile or save a program, I get a 'file access is denied' error...

Save table as fixed length file?

I think Mike's solution will work. Just to be clear, is the length of the field in VFP exactly the same length that will come out in the text file? The reason I ask is that I am sending the file somewhere else and they seem very particular about making sure it is a certain length. Thanks!
