Computer shuts off when starting to install XP
So I have just built my 1st PC and when I try to install XP from a cd or floppy the screen reads boot from cd but then just shuts down on its own without starting to install XP. Any ideas on what might be wrong?- BadArseMav

Ok that definetly helped but now it goes to a second screen after the Bios says boot from cd then just shuts off on its own.- BadArseMav

Troubling installing XP
So I just finished building my first computer from parts ordered on tigerdirect. I started the desktopo up to begin installing Windows XP and everything seemed to be working fine.
