This is what I did :
1 . Accpac 5.2 already installed (and running fine with SP3 -- Bankservices 5.2B)
2. I installed 5.4 and pervasive 9
3. Open company in 5.4 and activated SM5.4A
4. Activated GL (this went fine)
5. tried Activated Bank services and got the error
6. went on and activated tax...
how do I check to see if database is set up right.. it works fine in 5.2.
I did integrity check and verify in the database setup window and even chkdsk and found no errors

I did as you said , however when activating bank services 5.4 I got the following error.
E database error (operation =, error=49858)
C Cannot activate bank services
when I shut down and restart
I get this only this one now
internal error
cannot activate bank services
any idea...
Is it true that sage accpac is no longer issuing original CD's to clients..
Our Accpac solution provider said that we will not get original Accpac CDs for 5.4, he will download and copy software to CD.. I think for what we paid we should have gotten an original CD.

My current accpac version :
AP, AR, GL, IC, LanPak, Optional Fields, OE, P.M and S.M are all 5.2A with latest service packs
US Payroll and tax updates are 5.1A with service packs

We are currently upgrading accpac advantage series 5.2 to sage accpac 5.4 enterprise.
We recreate company and system files and folder using the setup wizard then did a database load ( previously did dump in 5.2 all batches posted ).
