Step 1. Ping the ip address of the printer from the server. if that doesnt work you have a network problem.
Step 2. install the hp jet direct software. you need the hp standard tcp/ip driver it installs, even if it doesnt work.
Step 3. open printers folder. open add printer. click on Local printer, uncheck auto detect and click next. click create a new port and select HP standard TCP/IP port. enter the ip address of the printer and click next. choose the appropriate driver, share the printer and you are done.
