Security Settings in IP Office 3.2 Manager

Configuring IP Office to utilise a common administrative Username and Password to log in to both Security and Configuration options of 3.2 Manager. This should assist understanding the new options of security and user ææprofileÆsÆ of the new look and feel to 3.2 IP Office Manager.

The following will create a superuser ææprofileÆÆ which will allow access to both the
3.2 Manager-æAdministratorÆ and the 3.2 Manager-æSecurityÆ options with just the one common ææprofileÆÆ and passcode.
Open the 3.2 Manager

ò Click File> Advanced> Security Settings
ò Select the IPO required to enter the security options
ò Enter the default security æprofileÆ name and passcode (security / securitypwd )
Clicking on OK will take you into the default security options.
ò From the Rights Group, right click in the Rights Group column. This will allow you to create a new rights group attributed to the new æprofileÆ, allowing you to configure the rights to access the security and administration options.
ò Click on New, as seen above, then enter a new rights group name. In this example the name created was called æsuperuserÆ
ò When created, set the rights options to the new rights group. Check the options to the Security Administration tab, and Configuration tab. Note the Operator Rights within the Configuration is seen as æNoneÆ below. Change this option to Administrator.
ò Click on Service Users. Right click in the Service Users to create a new user. This will create the new ææprofileÆÆ for logging on, and will be attributed to the rights created using the new rights group called æsuperuserÆ
ò Enter a new name for the new Service User ææprofileÆÆ. In this example, the name æsuperuserÆ was created using a password of æsuperuserÆ
ò When created, click on the superuser æprofileÆ and attribute the rights to the new user created. Check the rights against the new rights group called æsuperuserÆ
ò Click on OK at the bottom of the Service User column.

The options now need to be saved to the system. Click on the save icon in the top left of the screen. Enter the Original security User Name and securitypwd password.

Now this has been saved to the IP Office unit originally selected. The new æprofileÆ User name æsuperuserÆ and password æsuperuserÆ can be utilized to enter both the Administration of the IP Office, and also enter the Security options.

Security can be accessed by both the original Service User Name æprofileÆ of security and passcode of securitypwd or use the new Security User æprofileÆ superuser, password superuser.
Configuration can use the new æprofileÆ superuser, password superuser.
