If you find it slow (35+ seconds) to login to a teminal server session you need to exempt DAT and LOG extensions from being scanned by the realtime monitor. Remember to stop and then start the Realtime server service through the control panel AFTER changing any realtime options. They will not take effect otherwise.

An alternative to exempting all DAT and LOG extensions is to exempt the process winlogon.exe from the realtime scanner.
