If you want ping to act like DOS, use "ping -c 5"

The default on SCO is to keep running until you hit the interrupt key- which is usually DELETE on SCO, not CTRL-C

On 5.0.6, J.P. Radley reminds me that the -o is equivalent to -c1, and that a new flag (-a) beeps on every returned packet.
