How to acquire programming data from a KSU & transfer to a spread sheet

by  curlycord  Posted    (Edited  )
Requirements:
-NRU - Norstar Remote Utilities (11.0 is the latest and last release)
-MAP pack files for 7.1
-Remote Access Device
-Microsoft Excel

See other FAQ's how to connect/install.

To acquire data:
-Navigate to where you installed NRU
i.e. C:/ProgramFiles/NortelNetworks/NRU/ICSRT/Workbooks.
-Open the workbook that best matches your KSU.
-Enable Macros (via security low setting) or Options/Trust Center/TrustSettings on Excel 2010
-Save the file as another name such as your company/client name
-Select ICS top right of menu bar or in 2010 select Addins Tab and ICS button left side.
-Select Configure Work book and select correct version i.e. CDA or XC etc.
-Select ICS again then System Size and select which expansion setup you have
-Select ICS again then select Acquire
-Select Partial and Highlight the items you want to Acquire only.

**If you select Full (or a lot of items from the Partial) then it will take a long time and generate a huge file size.
