On MICS 6.1 you need to go into System programming, Dialing plan, Public network, Pub DN lengths and set the DN length for each dialing prefix. There is an entry to set the default DN length (Prfxeflt...). Also you can set the DN length for calls based on what prefix is dialed.
The international dialing and special service prefixes also need to be added.
If local calls are dialed as 7-digit numbers, set the Default DN Length to 7 digits. If local calls require that you also dial an area code, set the Default DN Length to 10 digits.
The area codes for local calls that are dialed as 10-digit numbers should be entered as prefixes with a DN Length of 10 digits.
