[tt]Hello all....
... Here's the best way to have windows xp run faster.
First of all we need to undestand that xp with it's new look, by default loads lost of component services which means lots of unnecessary programs to accomplish all visuals.

This FAQ is to let you know where they are so YOU can decide what to turn off.

To access these component services,
1. Click on Start, Control Panel, Double Click on Administrative tools, Double Click component services then double click on Services (local)then click on the Standard tab on the right hand side of the screen to display all Component Services ordered by different field names. You can read under description what each component does before you decide to disable it.(be very careful on disabling certain componets because based on their descriptons some will prevent you from booting up your system). I disabled all visual and sounds ones only.

2. In order to turn off the services YOU think don't need running on your system (and after reading the description of course) simply
Right click IT
Choose Properties and under
Start Up type:
Select Disable then
OK

I hope this help you running you XP version faster. Good luck.

Please rate this faq if you think if helps you. Thanks
