How can I rescue my PC when a program has crashed?

Most of you probalby already knows this, but if it helps one person then Im happy! What Im talking about is when NT hangs, ie, a program crashes and then you End Task it but your still stuck etc.....Try this procedure....

Hit <Ctrl>+<Alt>+<Delete>
Click on Task Manager
Then go to the Applications tab
Click on Explorer.exe and then hit End Task
(You will (probably) be asked to end task again through a pop-up dialog box.)

What you have done now is basically halted the interface except for the Task Manager.

Next, in the Task Manager, click on New Task
Type in explorer.exe and hit Enter.

And hey presto, your back in action!
Don't worry if you have any other programs which you couldn't close and are worried about loosing data, when you do that procedure, the programs remain open, no data will be lost and you can return to your work.

(Please note though, you will loose all 'icons' that were running in the System Tray, in effect it would be like logging off...)

Hope this helps some one at some stage!!!
Jay~
