Report Settings Are Lost

If you have run across the circumstnace of a report printing portrait when it should be landscape or something similar, it's NOT your fault and you don't have to do any huge coding to fix it.

If you're using Access 2000 - install sp1 as recommended in another FAQ - the knowledgebase article link is:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q240826/

If you're using Access XP - install sp3 - sp2 doesn't work, but sp3 seems to do the trick. This is a starting point - now I have a PC that SP3 was slipinstalled with office xp and am having this problem again.
