Using Hyperlinks Instead of Buttons

by  Garridon  Posted    (Edited  )
Sometimes, like on a main menu, you may not want to use buttons to go to your forms. Access XP gives you the option of using hyperlinks instead.

Open your form in design view.

From the menu bar, select Insert>Hyperlink. The Insert Hyperlink dialog box opens.

In the Link To section, select Object in this Database. This displays your forms and reports. Choose the appropriate object.

At the top of the dialog box, in the box marked Text to Display, type in what you want the hyperlink to say.

Click the Screen tip button and type in a screen tip (if you don't, it'll display the form name when the mouse hovers over the link).

Click the OK button.
