Scan barcode Part# and Qty in two or more columns in Excel

Open Excel
1. create your column headings in Row A
Example Part#, Qty, , etc
2. Click ôToolsö menu then ôOptionsö menu
3. Click "Edit" TAB and then in the ôMove after Enter Direction" click the ôRightö Option

Following this next step closely is crucial.
4. Highlight a series of cells with the mouse that you want to capture data in. And leave them highlighted. We are just using two columns to capture Part number and Quantity.

5. Notice we started highlighting the cells just below Part# and Qty this is so you wonÆt delete those words. The process starts in the first highlighted cell.

6. What happens when you either start typing or scanning the first cell A2 gets the data. When you hit the Enter key the next cell to receive data is B2 (it moves right instead of down) then it moves down to A3 then over to B3, down to A4 over to B4 and so on. So it goes over then down a row over then down a row.

Good luck
