Many things on many different CM software versions and hardware platforms are indications of software corruption.
This error message is one.
Error encountered, can't complete request; check errors before retrying
It is not always corruption. 90 % of the time it is. But, sometimes this is due to software bugs and can be resolved with loading a patch, rebooting your switch. Only an Avaya Tier 3 software engineer could tell you for sure. The answer would be based on the command that returns the error and the software error logs.
If you have maintenance with Avaya, they will fix it under your maintenance contract. If not, They charge T & M or to a BP block of hours. Rates for T & M for non-maintenance customers are over $ 600.00 an hour during standard hours.
Other errors that might mean that you have corruption issues with your software. It is not always a guarantee that these messages are indications of corruption.
