Steps to Change Out Older DS1 Packs For Newer DS1 Packs

|Print| display trunk [Trunk Group Number - TGN]
|Print| disp ds1 [DS1 Slot Identifier 1A06-example]
...............printing these out helps recreate them later


Change trunk [TGN] Remove all ports for the board 1A0601à1A0624

Change sync à.. Remove board from sync source.

Pull board from physical slot

Remove DS1 [DS1 Identifier 1A06]

Change circuit à. Go to cabinet (may need to page forward) and to slot in cabinet and update board type

Add DS1 [DS1 Identifier 1A06]

Insert new board into physical cabinet, add CSU card on back and connect network jack to card and smart jack on the wall

Change trunk [TGN à add all ports back into the group 1A0601à1A0624]

Change Sync à add the board as primary or secondary

Status trunk [TGN à make sure all ports are in-service/idle or in-service/active]


Refer to the Maintenance Manual and check your printouts if trunks are in any state other than in-service.
