CMS REBOOT
Shutting the server down (rebooting the CMS), causes temporary files to be erased and any old processes (abandoned login sessions, etc) to be terminated. It is recommended that the server be shut down once a month prior to doing the CMSADM backup.
To reboot the server, log in as root and type: #/usr/sbin/shutdown -y -g0 -i6 A shutdown normally takes 5-8 minutes and is complete when a login prompt appears on user screens, including the main console.
