To utilize Terminal Translation Initialization (TTI), you need to do the following:
Setting up TTI
[ol]
[li]Ensure that TTI is enabled by entering the [red]DISPLAY SYSTEM-PARAMETERS FEATURES[/red] command from either GEDI or a SAT command line. On the displayed screen, look for the TTI/PSA Parameters area.[/li]
[li]Determine if a security code has been set for the TTI process. If it has, write this code down as you will need it later.[/li]
[li]Ensure that a feature access code has been assigned to TTI Merge and TTI Separation. To do this, enter the [red]DISPLAY FEATURE-ACCESS-CODES[/red] command from either GEDI or a SAT command line. Write these codes down as you will need them later.[/li]
[/ol] Using TTI Separation and Merge For the purposes of this, the security code will be [red]1[/red], the separation code will be [green]765[/green], the merge code will be [blue]432[/blue], and the extension will be [teal]8910[/teal]
[ol]
[li]From a station that you would like to separate the extension from the port, enter the TTI separation code, the security code, and the current extension. Note that this will assign the extension to an "x" port.
Using the sample numbers, it should look like this:
[green]765[/green]+[red]1[/red]+[teal]8910[/teal]
If you have done this correctly, you will hear a triple tone, then a dial tone.[/li]
[li]From a location that you would like to merge the extension to the port, enter the TTI merge code, the security code, and the desired extension. Note that the extension must have been previously assigned to an "x" port.
Using the sample numbers, it should look like this:
[blue]432[/blue]+[red]1[/red]+[teal]8910[/teal]
If you have done this correctly, you will hear a triple tone, then a dial tone.[/li]
