Executive Assistant Phone Configuration: Call Answer Group

An executiveÆs phone is routed to his/her individual phone then to an administrative assistants phone, then to voice mail via a call answer group.

Steps:
1. Create the call answer group and enter yyyy.
2. Create the coverage path(s) *note here is where you can change the number of rings on an individual phone before it rolls to the next extension or Audix.
3. Change the station(s) in question to reflect the correct coverage path

Call Answer Groups
Add ca ans gr n û Add Call Answer Group Next.
Creates a new Call answer group. Call Answer groups are like hunt groups. Except a limited number of extensions can be added. Here we created C1

Add Coverage Path
Add cov p # - Add Coverage Path #
Creates a Coverage path. In the event a user cannot answer a phone in the default number of rings, the call can be routed to another station for a live answer. If they too cannot answer the phone the call can be routed to other users or directly to Audix.

Add Coverage Path Next
Add cov p n - Add Coverage Path Next.
Prepares the next numerical coverage path for administration. When done record the number to apply that COV path to the appropriate extensions.

Change Covering Extension (absence)
Cha cov p # - Change Coverage Path #.
Prepares the coverage path in question (#) for modification. In the event the user at ext. yyyy is out of the office, calls can be rerouted to another user yyy1. Simply remove ext yyyy and replace it with the new covering extension. Alternately, they both can be in listed for calls to go to both before Audix.

Change coverage path (reprogram ring count)
Cha cov p # - Change Coverage Path #.
Prepares the coverage path in question (#) for modification. The coverage path can also be changed to reduce or increase the number of rings at each station. (See Ring count on right side)

Rings 3 times at users phone
Rings 3 times at C1 (yyyy)
Transfers to Audix

COV P 2
Rings 5 times at users phone
Rings 5 times at C1 (yyyy)
Transfers to Audix

COV P 3
Rings 3 times at users phone
Transfers to Audix
