Setting Date & Time on Merlin System

With daylight savings twice a year youÆll need to set the date & time on the Merlin systems. If itÆs an older system or if you are not using WinSPM you can accomplish the same by programming from an operatorÆs console.

[ul]1) Press F1 for system Programming
2) Press F5 to get into the programming mode
3) Select F1 again to program system features
4) YouÆll have two options F7 for Date & F8 for Time. Select F8 to update the systemÆs time[/ul]

[ol]
Enter the correct time. Backspace if necessary, and use the 24 hour clock. When finished press enter.

Select F7 to change the date. Backspace if necessary, and enter Month Day, year using two digits for each item. When finished press enter[/ol]

[ul]5) As a rule when making changes it is a good idea to backup the system. From the system programming menu select F9 and initiate a backup.[/ul]
=======================================================
On newer systems you can use the quick access menu to set and change date & time parameters.

WinSPM will report the PCÆs date & time, and when finished communicating it will report the systemÆs date & time. Using the synchronize & apply buttons you can match the MerlinÆs date/time with that of your PC.

When finished you can backup the changes by using the Tools Backup menu.
