How do I program personal speed dial numbers?

by  pjolly  Posted    (Edited  )
This process allows you to program up to 24 telephone numbers into your telephone's memory by assigning the telephone number to a feature code.

1. Press Speaker
2. Press #00
3. Enter "#" and a 2-digit code from 01-24 on which you will program a phone number
4. Press *21
5. Enter dial out code if needed (usually 9) and phone number. If it is a local call, just enter the 7-digit number; for a long distance call, enter 1, area code and the number. You do not need spaces between numbers. To insert a 1.5 second pause in the dialing sequence, press hold.
6. If your telephone has a menu display, "enter" may appear on your display screen. If so, press the soft key under "enter" (located immediately beneath the display screen). Otherwise, proceed to step #7.
7. To add more numbers, repeat steps 3 through 5. When finished, press "spkr". Be sure to note on paper which feature codes you assign.

To dial a programmed speed dial number, pick up the handset or press "spkr" and dial "#" (or "feature" if programmed) and the 2-digit feature number you used in step 3.
