Installing plugins in Mozilla is usually a matter of installing the plugin, copying a .dll file into Mozilla's plugins directory and then restarting Mozilla.
[ol]
[li]Install the plugin like usual. If prompted, install the Netscape version of the plugin.[/li]
[li]Quit all running Mozilla applications, including the quickstarter in the system tray (if applicable).[/li]
[li]Find your Netscape plugins folder and copy everything inside of it into your Mozilla plugins folder.[/li]
[li]Restart Mozilla. The plugins should work in Mozilla now.[/li]
[/ol]
This has worked for me on multiple occasions. Also, whenever you install a newer version of Mozilla, make sure that the contents of the old plugins directory get copied somehow into the new plugins directory.
