What program to use in Windows for Z-modem?

by  TimeTraveler  Posted    (Edited  )
Using 'telnet' in the Run... dialog box will not provide Z-modem file transfers. There is another program usually found in a normal Windows install called HyperTerminal that provides Z-modem transfers and handles the 'rz' and 'sz' commands.
This program is accessed on XP thru Start / All Programs / Accessories / Communications / HyperTerminal.

This is useful for some servers or accounts where an FTP server is not setup or available. Z-modem uses the actual connection itself to transfer data, rather than an Internet protocol.
